Thanksgiving Recipes


Oven Roasted Turkey

Ingredients

  • Turkey of your choice

  • Big O's chicken rub

Directions

  1. Thaw turkey completely prior to cooking (cooking process is slowed if not fully thawed)

  2. Run turkey under running water

  3. Place in a huge pan that'll fit the turkey

  4. Remove inside parts of the turkey

  5. Season well with Big O's chicken rub

  6. Preheat oven to 320°

  7. Cover and bake for 5 1/2 hours (time will vary depending on turkey size)

  8. Allow turkey to get golden brown

Potato Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 bag of shredded hash browns

  • 2 cans of potato soup

  • 2 1/2 lbs of mixed cheese

  • 8 oz of sour cream

  • 2 tbsp of Big O's steak rub

  • 2 tbsp of fresh chopped parsley

Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350°

  2. Mix all ingredients in a big bowl

  3. Place in a pyrex dish

  4. Add 4 oz of cheese and a sprinkle parsley on top of mixture

  5. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes

  6. Allow broil at 400° for 3 minutes or until top is golden

Macaroni & Cheese

Ingredients

  • 2 boxes of macaroni

  • 1 qt of heavy cream

  • 1 qt of half and half

  • 3 lbs of cheddar cheese

  • 3 lbs of american cheese

  • 3 tbs of salt

  • 2 tbs of pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°

  2. Boil macaroni noodles in a pot until al dente

  3. Add heavy cream, half and half and cheese to sauce pot

  4. Wait until cheese is melted into a sauce

  5. Pour cheese sauce in pot with drained noodles

  6. Mix together

  7. Place in pyrex dish and bake for 15 minutes

Sautéed Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 bag of frozen or fresh whole green beans

  • 1 cup of sliced and toasted almondine (garnish with almonds)

  • 3 tbs of Big O's steak rub

  • 1/2 cub of small diced onions

  • 1/3 cub of olive oil

Directions

  1. Heat saute pan

  2. Add olive oil

  3. Add onions

  4. Add green beans

  5. Allow to sautée for 3 to 4 minutes

  6. Add almonds

  7. Add Big O's steak rub
